1. When the new extruder machine is running for half a year, due to the problem of wear and tear, we must re-check the gap between the screw and barrel every three months and make appropriate adjustments. In order to avoid the output of extruder machine drop due to the excessive gap. even sometimes the swing angle of screw is large, causing the screw to break down.
2. The gap between the screw and barrel is directly related to the quality of the product. If the gap is too large, the first thing that shear rate is low, the plasticization is not good; the second is material is reversed, output is decreased, and the material stays in the barrel for too long, which is easy to burn. If the gap is too small, one thing that cut force is large, material will be coke, and even the screw scraper barrel. Therefore, the gap between the screw and barrel should not be too large or too small, and the unilateral gap is generally between 0.10 and 0.15 mm.
3. Before measuring the gap between the screw and the barrel, it is necessary to clear the raw materials accumulated in the barrel. The screw and the output shaft of the box are closely attached. There is no gap between the two. The barrel connection thread and the barrel nut are outward. Close to. As shown in the figure below: the gap value is measured at two points A and B with a feeler gauge. The reasonable clearance T is between 0.20 and 0.30 mm.
